Photovoltaics

It was said in a workshop I attended that the sun produces enough energy in one day to provide power to the entire human population for three years. It is only a matter of harnessing it. Photovoltaic’s has been used in space applications for decades. It is a proven technology that has been used reliably in applications with great success. Here in San Diego we average about 5.6 sun hours per day.

Harnessing the suns power to produce electricity for a home owner is a dream come to reality. Photovoltaic systems can be installed on roof tops and porches offsetting or even eliminating a homeowner’s electric bill. This can provide clean sustainable energy for decades. With the current energy concerns photovoltaic’s remains at the forefront of energy solutions.

It gets better, net metering is a powerful component for the solar PV systems. This allows a homeowner to use the grid as a battery bank. While you are overproducing energy during the day the electrical meter will spin backwards and credit your utility account. During the evening you use those credits toward your bill. The homeowner ends up with either no electric bill or a greatly reduced electric bill.

It then get even better from there, the State of California runs a generous rebate program to offset the initial cost of systems. The Federal Government has recently reinstated a 30% after final cost tax. This accelerated depreciation is a great tool for furthering the case for PV. The Federal Tax credit is AMT exempt.

Red E3 does not sell or install PV systems.

So what can Red E3 do for the solar customer?

We have trained in system design and have diagnostic tools for system assessment.

With no sales pitch for a set fee we can provide third party assessment of your solar project.

When someone is investing in PV we can help by reducing your current electricity usage which can save thousands if not tens of thousands on the upfront cost of systems.

A real energy audit should be conducted before a system is designed and installed. The plan should be geared toward saving watts without sacrificing comfort.

Cost will vary depending on services rendered.
